Person of the Moment: Laura Neiva

Laura Neiva

When I see Laura Neiva, I see the next face of Brazilian fashion and film. This girl is not only strikingly beautiful but also a very talented young lady. She caught my attention while watching the Brazilian film, A Deriva (A Drift in the US, available on Netflix), about a year ago. A Deriva, is a coming-of-age story but at the same time, it is reaching out to adults. It tells the story of a fourteen year old girl going through the process of growing up and most importantly, the broken relationship of her parents. Watching this film you think, ''wow I really need to go to Brazil!" The scenery is incredible and the way you are able to connect to Neiva's character, Felipa, is extremely touching. Neiva has that certain factor that keeps people wanting more. At only eighteen years old, She has become the face for Brazilian brands such as Corello, M Officer, Gloria Coelho, and Fillity. She also caught the eye of designer, Karl Lagerfeld, becoming the sixth brand ambassador. As I blog this, she is holding a dinner for the Chanel brand in Sao Paulo, Brazil. (LUCKY GIRL) Laura Neiva is currently signed on to Way Model Management and has had editorial spreads in Italian Vanity Fair, Brazilian Vogue, and has been on the cover of Be and Joyce Pascowicz.
